Scheduling Summer Lessons:
Summer lessons are a bit different. Summer is often a time for family vacations and last minute trips to the beach. It is certainly a well deserved break, but with the size of my studio it makes scheduling trumpet lessons a nightmare! Additionally, I will also be performing with the San Diego Symphony for varying weeks of their summer concerts. For these reasons I am making it really easy to schedule as many, as few, as varied, or as consistent lessons as you want. For the summer, unlike the school year, there are no assigned weekly time slots. All scheduling is done online from my website. You are in control of your schedule. All you have to do is visit my website (www.TimSaeger.com), create an account (if you don’t already have one), sign in, view my availability, then book your lesson(s). From your account you can view all the lessons you have scheduled, and reschedule/cancel/book more lessons. If you have trouble with this process please contact me and I will assist you.
If you'd like, I have prepared a video on how to schedule trumpet lessons.

Although you can schedule your summer lessons at any time, I do appreciate you taking the time to schedule your lessons as early as possible. This allows me to anticipate what my summer work schedule will look like.

What's different about Saeger's Trumpet Studio?
In short, playing the trumpet is not a side job for me. I am a professional trumpet musician freelancing in San Diego and regularly perform with the San Diego Symphony as an extra. As a native San Diegan I am a permanent resident and for 20 years have built a career performing and teaching trumpet. I have a specialty in trumpet playing mechanics. My students regularly are accepted to All State and Southern California Honor Bands and awarded college scholarships (regardless of their chosen major). Although unofficial, I am one of, if not the most, represented trumpet teacher in the California State Honor bands. My student retention rate is nearly 100% with most of my students studying from me for 4-7 years before college.
NO CONTRACT! I do not hold you to an amount of lessons. Unlike most studios, you may cancel without payment.
My Commitment To You:
Teaching is a passion that I will continue to pursue for the rest of my life. I am committed to providing you with the best quality trumpet lessons. I believe the lessons we learn from trumpet translate to success in everyday life. I believe in developing successful habits and learning how to reach our goals through a discipline in music. At the very least I hope that my students find joy through music and learn habits for a successful future.

I have been very fortunate to be contracted with the San Diego Symphony this summer for several of their Summer Pops shows. The new venue "The Rady's Shell at Jacobs Park" is absolutely incredible. We still have several more programs lined up. I hope to see you there sometime. https://www.theshell.org
Some Old News:
First of all, THANK YOU!
Thank you for continuing to support music education, especially throughout the pandemic. To put it mildly, my situation has been full of uncertainty this past year. Thank you for your trust in me and your continued support. I am so proud of the students that chose to use their time wisely and persevered through difficult times.
Bragging Rights:
Although this year 2019-2020 was mostly online, it didn't stop our trumpet studio from doing great things. I believe SaegerStudios was again the most represented trumpet studio in the California All State and Southern Honor Bands. Also, this year several students have been accepted to college as music majors and have received scholarships. One student (non music major) was awarded enough scholarship $ to completely pay for 7 years of consistent trumpet lessons and then some...
I am so proud of the students that stuck with it this year, keep up the great work!
Hey... how about a trip down memory lane with some of our virtual projects?
